MSWtech Test Center Europe

New since 2024 in Nuremberg, Germany, in collaboration with BayflexSolutions: a testbed for flexible and stretchable solutions. Repeat. Measure. Observe.

What the testbed covers

Flexible electronics must survive real use. The test center makes reliability visible – cycle by cycle.

  • Analysis of mechanical stress factors

    • Stretching
    • Flexing
    • Bending
    • … and more
  • Data acquisition, synchronised by test cycle

    • Optical data – high-resolution or microscope image capturing
    • Functional data – e.g. electrical resistance
  • Data storage and trend analysis

All measurements are stored per cycle, so that changes and trends become visible over the course of a test.

Equipment and joint projects

Quality control for flexible electronics by BayflexSolutions, presented together with MSWtech at LOPEC. At LOPEC 2026, MSWtech, SEHO and TH Nürnberg presented test, qualification and reliability strategies from the joint test center together with the Photo-AVT project.

Questions & answers

Short, direct answers to the questions we are asked most often.

What kind of stress does the Test Center apply?

Repeated mechanical stress on flexible and stretchable electronics: stretching, flexing, bending and other load types.

Which data is captured during a test?

In sync with each test cycle, optical data – high-resolution or microscope images – and functional data such as electrical resistance are captured. All values are stored and analysed as trends over the course of the test.

Where is the Test Center and who runs it?

The MSWtech Test Center Europe is located in Nuremberg, Germany, and has been operated in collaboration with BayflexSolutions – a provider of reliability hardware and software for flexible and stretchable electronics – since 2024.

How do I request a test?

Describe your samples, the expected stress and the data you need by e-mail to info@mswtech.de or via the contact form; MSWtech will then discuss a suitable test setup.
